About The Artist - Maggie Tippetts

I find joy in creating; even more so when a painting touches a soul. The textures I am able to build using acrylic paint and various tools give the piece a multi-dimensional feeling. It was through sculpting I found my passion for textures, and have adapted my painting style to include everything I loved about sculpting.
In the process of rendering and layering the paint, each painting becomes an immersive experience, communicating beyond the scope of the spoken word. These hyper-texturized paintings truly verge on the edge of sculptural, reaching outwards from the canvases and into your world.
Within the last 10 years I have devoted most of my time to my practice, studying at the Scottsdale Art School & attending workshops under other accomplished art instructors around the world.
Recently, my work has been exhibited in several local juried art shows, winning awards, including multiple first, second, third-place & honorable mention ribbons. I currently have work on display in museums, galleries, local businesses and enjoyed by devoted collectors throughout the United States and Canada. You can see my work at the Sedona Artist Market.
As an artist, I create in order to share with you the ever-flowing, full joy I feel while living in this amazing beautiful world.
